If you are a writer and would like to make money on the internet you should sign up for Google Ad Sense. Google Ad Sense is a free program that allows you to advertise products and services on your webpage's and earn money. The amount of money earned is dependent on the amount of traffic your website and articles receive therefore the sky is the limit. Make sure you read the terms for Google Ad Sense prior to signing up. Most websites will only give you a portion of the earnings these links generate. When you sign up for Google Ad Sense you are entitled to all the earnings your links generate. Below are the steps to sign up for Google Ad Sense.

The first thing you should do is have a website. You will need the website link when you sign up for Google Ad Sense. I suggest using SheToldMe.Com (link is available in the reference section). This is a fairly easy website to navigate and allows you to enter content or links and earn all the money that is generated from your links. This is a great place to advertise your Ehow articles!

After you have your website signed up you should go to the Google Ad Sense website (link available in the reference section). If you have a Google email address you can use that to sign in or you can click the sign up now button at the top of the page.

Now you will be forwarded to the Ad Sense application page. This service is for website and content owners to list links on the internet and earn money. This will not work for sites that already participate in a click to earn type of program. If your site meets the criteria's you will be granted access to the Google Ad Sense program. You must fill out the application for them to determine if you are eligible for the program.

The application is broken down into three sections.

* Website Information:
Enter the link to your page from SheToldMe.com
Select a Language from the drop down box
Check the boxes verifying you will not place Google Ad Sense ads on websites that already have click to earn programs or adult content.

* Contact Information:
Select if your account will be a business account or personal account.
Select the Country you live in.
Enter your contact information: Payee name, Contact name, Payment Address (this is where they will send your checks!), Contact phone number (in case there are any questions or problems), select your email preference, and how you heard about the Google Ad Sense program.

* Policies:
Check the policy boxes showing that you agree to follow the policies outlined in the Google Ad Sense program. Make sure you read these prior to checking the boxes!

Submit the form by pressing the submit information button at the bottom of the page.

Once you submit the form you will be prompted to verify the information you entered and make any corrections at this time. Make sure you verify the information or any payments may go to the wrong person. If every thing is correct you can select the email address you would like your Google Ad Sense account linked to either an existing Gmail email address or you can create a Gmail email address.

Google Ad Sense will send an email address to the email you listed in step 6. You will need to confirm the application by clicking on the link in the email. It can take up to 24 hours to receive the confirmation email make sure you check your spam folders if you have not received the email within 24 hours.

After confirming your email address Google will contact you at that email address when they have determined your eligiblitly of Google Ad Sense. This usually takes between 24 hours to one business week.
